This interdisciplinary colloquium aims to bring together linguists and historians working on approaches ‘from below’.  We welcome contributions on linguistic and historical perspectives on identity and authenticity in egodocuments and other writings ‘from below’, both from linguistic and from historical perspectives.

The colloquium will be preceded by a master class on language and history from below, on Friday 24 April 2015, featuring seminars by Stephan Elspaß (University of Salzburg, Austria) and Martyn Lyons (UNSW Australia). See more information here.
